Legacy consolidation runs on banking-era rails built for RIAs. The decade-old challengers still need point tools, a data team and a basis-point fee to get a clean quarterly out the door.
Consolidation built a decade or more ago, much of it on banking software for RIAs. Each system does one thing well, so the office bolts on a pacing workbook, a document tool, a data room and a spreadsheet to close the gaps, and pays basis points for the privilege.
A flat annual fee, priced on the software, not your AUM. A strong vintage year doesn’t reprice the stack, and a lean office isn’t priced out of institutional tooling.
